World leader Hosni Mubarak Welcomes Withdrawal



Hosni Mubarak's resignation from the presidency of Egypt which has been occupied for 30 years welcome world leaders. They congratulated the Egyptian people for their struggle

"Today is a very happy day. We all witnessed the historic changes. I share my happiness with the people of Egypt who rejoice in the streets," said German Chancellor Angela Merkel as written Reuters on Friday (2/11/2011).

President Barack Obama has not responded on this revolution. But U.S. Vice President Joe Biden called it a strategic moment in the history of Egypt and the Middle East.

European Foreign Affairs heads, Catherine Ashton, said the decline Mubarak opened the opportunity for reform in all areas quickly. While Israel does not want to see the decline Mubarak hasty as an opportunity to establish good relations with its neighbor.

"Too early to see Mubarak's resignation will affect many things. We hope that democracy in Egypt will run non-violence and peace agreements (with Israel-ed) will be maintained," said one Israeli official.

In Gaza, Palestinians also pleased. They hope the new Egyptian leadership could open the blockade at the border.

"Hosni Mubarak's withdrawal was the beginning of the victory of the revolution in Egypt," said Hamas spokesman, Sami Abu Zuhri.
